Our modern teaching system and lesson plans show you how to drive safely by instructing you in professional driving techniques using international standards. You will learn about mobility, risk management, self-preparation, the challenges of your emotions and attitudes, time pressures, traffic rules, dealing with emergencies, selecting the best car for your needs, trip planning and defensive driving systems that make you a good driver. 

Our teaching method is different. We try to focus you on your risks and other factors likely to interfere with your driving safety. We believe you are clever enough to understand the meaning of traffic signs and signals as well as traffic rules and regulations. The 12 hours that you spend in classroom will change your perspective on what driving safety is all about.

Simulating driving before you try the actual car

First, you will learn driving techniques using a vehicle simulator for two hours. This allows you to become familiar with operating a car: mastering steering wheel techniques, braking, using the clutch and manual transmission, accelerating, adjusting mirrors, spacing in traffic and other basic driving tactics. In the safety of the simulator you will be able to practice driving in different situations and learn to manage risks safely and effectively.

In the actual car driving on the road

After simulated driving, your instructor will introduce you to using the techniques you learned to operate one of our new passenger cars. You will drive in controlled situations and on roads with low traffic levels for a total of 10 hours. Each 30 minute or one hour lesson is gaged to teach you step-by-step how to master the driving procedures. Your instructor will follow standard international training methods that have been researched by new driver research institutes.

Knowing how your car works and how to maintain it

Besides teaching you to be a safe and responsible driver, Safe Driver Education wants you to know how your car works and how to maintain it. In the practical laboratory sessions you will learn about the technical systems of your car and get tips on how to keep it running in the best condition. You learn what to do when faced with an emergency and how to use the tools in your car. These lessons can help you to save maintenance costs and ensure reliable operation of your car. The laboratory is 2 hours long and full of useful information..

Vision for Safety - Eye check

The theme of Safe Driver Education is Vision for Safety. Over 95% of everything you do when driving comes to you through your eyes. We want to make sure your eye sight is as good as it can be. If it is not we want to help you to correct it. The first test every student must take is the Vision screen. We will check your vision with DVS-GT vision screener from USA. It checks many vision functions: acuity, peripheral, depth perception, color vision, and glare recovery. All of these are important to good driving. If your vision has any problems we will suggest ways to correct these. In addition to the standard eye tests we will check your reaction time using a simulated driving situation and show you how you measure up to international driving standards. During the course of your training you will have many opportunities to improve your reaction time scores.

Text books and the Safe Driver Skill Log

As you follow our classes and lessons you will be guided by our text book on responsible driving and your instructor will check that you have passed and understood each step along the way. Your record is kept in the SDE Skill Log, which is signed by your instructors. When you finish the complete course you will receive a certificate attesting to your skill.
